COLONIE Ė Alfred F. DeLuca, 87, formerly of Catskill
passed away peacefully Sunday, May 9, 2010 at home with his loving
wife by his side. Alfred was a WWII veteran serving in the Navy
113th Battalion Seabee. He was co-owner of the former Fredís
Fountainette in Catskill and retired in 1979 from Central Hudson.
His favorite pastimes were music and traveling. Alfred was a life
member of the Catskill Fire Dept. and a member of the Catskill
American Legion Post 110.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Josephine Scalzo DeLuca of
Colonie; brother Robert DeLuca of Greensboro, North Carolina;
sister, Phyllis DeLuca of Catskill; and many nieces and nephews.
Alfred was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary DeLuca and
brothers, Anthony, William and John DeLuca.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, May 13th at the
Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Burial will follow in St. Patrickís
Cemetery, Coeymans. Friends may call at the funeral home on
Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM. Contributions in memory of Alfred may be
made to the Firemenís Home, 125 Harry Howard Ave., Hudson, NY 12534.
