RAVENA -- James C. Kinley, age 82 years of, Ravena, passed away in
his home July 3 2010.
Born in Albany, NY, he was the Son of the late Angelo and
Teresa (Favaretto) Kinley and a lifelong resident of Ravena. James
leaves his wife of 57 years, Louise “Marie” (Nunziato) Kinley; four
children; Linda (Bernie) McCall, James (Julie) Kinley Jr., Diane
(Bill) Fisher, and Richard (Kathy) Kinley. He also leaves behind
five grandchildren; Kimberly, Bernard and Ryan McCall and Richard
Jr. and Lauren Kinley. He is further survived by many nieces and
nephews. Jim was predeceased by his brother Avie Kinley and sisters
Mary and Martha Kinley of Selkirk.
James was a 1944 graduate of Ravena High School and a veteran of the
United States Army 1946 – 1948 (s. sergeant medical technician.) Jim
was employed by Conrail and its predecessor railroads from 1944 to
1990, as well as at Blue Circle Atlantic Cement during the same time
period. He was a communicant at St. Patrick’s Parish, Ravena.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 7th
at a time to be announced at St. Patrick’s Church, Ravena.
Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Relatives and
friends are invited to call at the Babcock Funeral Home on Tuesday
from 4:00 pm to 7:00pm. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be
made to St. Patrick’s Church Ravena.
