RAVENA – At the age of 87, Robert “Bob” Albright
joined his Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 3, 2018. Bob was
born November 13, 1930 to his late parents, Arthur and Louise
Bob graduated from Ravena-Coeymans
High School in 1948 and served as a medic in the US Army during the
Korean War as a conscientious objector and received a Bronze Star
for his service. Bob owned and operated Albright’s Under Cliff
Garage with his father. He then became a claims adjustor for Home
Insurance Company. He retired in 1993 as the transportation
supervisor for the R-C-S Central School District.
Bob met his wife, Anna
“Annie” (Ritzel) at a square dance, and enjoyed 63 glorious years of
marriage (July 4, 1954) while raising a loving family. Bob was
known for his years of guidance with the Boy Scouts and as Deacon
Emeritus and Sunday School teacher at the Congregational Christian
Church in Ravena. Bob and Annie enjoyed traveling and were able to
see all 50 states. Bob was known for his kind heart, love and
ability to fix anything mechanical, maple syrup making, love of God
and spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife,
Annie; his four children, Diana (Parker) Burns, Ronald “Ron”
(Cindy), Denise (Curtis) Wilsey and Mark (Shelly); his
grandchildren, Kevin (Melissa) Burns, Andrew (Katherine) Wilsey,
Lindsey (Seth) Glaser and Katie Faye Wilsey; five
great-grandchildren; and his sisters Bertha Williams, Ruth Looman
and Carol Schimmel
Memorial service will be
held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 7th at the Ravena
Congregational Christian Church, 175 Main St., Ravena, NY 12143.
Interment will follow in the Coeymans Hollow Cemetery. Friends may
call at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena on Tuesday, February 6th
from 4 to 7 p.m.
