COXSACKIE – Michael Belycia, of West Coxsackie, passed away
peacefully on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the age of 81, after a
long illness, surrounded by his loving family.
Michael was born January 26, 1940 and is the son of the late
Pauline Macek and Andrew Stefura. He was a Navy veteran and served
from 1958 to 1962 aboard the USS Midway. Michael’s employment
career included IBM, Fleet Bank and First Student, and he was a
graduate of Miami Dade College, majoring in Oceanography.
Michael is survived by his wife Nancy Esposito Belycia; his son
Mark DePasquale; three grandchildren, Jacob, Alana and Logan
DePasquale; daughter-in-law, Kristy DePasquale, her partner, Eric
Cook; and their three children, Xavier, Zionna and Azaria Cook; his
brother, John Stefura and his wife Sue Stefura; two nieces, Patricia
Stefura O’Brien and her husband Sean, Elizabeth Stefura Gomez, her
husband Daniel; two nephews, Michael Stefura, his wife Kirsten and
John Stefura; along with many cousins, great nieces and nephews.
Calling hours for Michael will be held Saturday, September 11th
at St. Mary’s Church in Coxsackie where friends will be received
from 9 to 10 AM, followed by a Catholic Mass at 10 AM. After the
Mass there will be a celebration of his life at his home on 18 Apple
Blossom Lane. All are welcome.
