Linda Talbott Civill went to be with her Lord on March 3, 2014 after a battle with lung cancer, she was 71. Born, August 19, 1942 to Geraldine Moore Talbott and Victor Hampton Talbott in Olean, NY. 

She was a beloved wife, loving mother, Gram and sister. She is survived by her husband John Clark Civill, married August 15, 1964 in Fillmore, N.Y. and four children, Patrick (Jodi) Civill, Stephanie (Richard, Jr.) Peterson, Stacy (Christopher) Seefeldt and Thomas Civill. She had seven grandchildren, Justin, Zachary, Alexandra, Madeline, Winnie, Caleb and Jacob and numerous nieces and nephews. She is survived by her brother, Stephen R. Talbott of Clarksville, TN.  

She greets her parents in heaven, Geraldine Moore Talbott and Victor Hampton Talbott, and her sister, Judith A. Scott.  

Linda was a graduate of S.U.N.Y. at Albany in 1965 with a Bachelor of Arts in Latin. She taught GED courses at C.H.O.I.C.E.S. in Ravena for many years and worked at Matchless Stove and Chimney in Glenmont. She volunteered at Helping Harvest at Abounding Love Christian Fellowship, the Capital City Rescue Mission and the Matthew Project.

 She was a member of Grace Chapel in Ravena, N.Y. where she was an instrumental member in the women’s group and church leadership.

   A memorial service will be held at Grace Covenant Church, 14462 Rt. 9W, Ravena, NY 12143 March 6, 2014 at 3 o’clock P.M. This is celebration of her life and the family requests that mourning colors are not required.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either Capital City Rescue Mission, PO Box 1999, Albany, NY 12201 or to the Helping Harvest Store at Abounding Love Christian Fellowship, 49 South Clement Avenue, Ravena, NY 12143.
