– David A. Coffey, 65, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018.
David lived in Cudjoe Key, Florida for the last 11 years, in Selkirk
for 23 years and recently moved back home to Colonie. He was the
son of the late George I and Rose Coffey.
David had worked as a dispatcher for Duffy’s Taxi in Albany and
retired after 11 years with Sugarloaf Lodge in Florida. He loved
the people and the way of life in the Key’s. David enjoyed fishing
and was an avid NY Yankee and Giants fan. He was a beloved youth
baseball coach with the HV Little League and cherished every minute
coaching his team. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Richter Coffey; son, David
(Rebecca); grandchildren, Anna, Ryan and Adam; sister, Helen (Lou)
Zanello; sister-in-law, Miriam Coffey; and many nieces and nephews
who loved him dearly. David was predeceased by his brothers, George
II and Jim.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October
10th at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Friends may call at the
funeral home prior to the service starting at 5 P.M. In lieu of
