LOUDONVILLE – Theresa A.
Scalzo De Luca, 91, entered eternal life Sunday, June 02, 2013 at
Albany Medical Center Hospital after a brief illness. Theresa was
born in Coeymans, daughter of the late Antonio and Anna Salvino
Theresa was a graduate of Coeymans High School and Mildred Elley
Secretarial School in Albany. She worked many years as a legal
secretary for both Zelda M. Uthe, Esq. and the NYS Association of
Towns, retiring in 1980. After retirement she and her husband
enjoyed many years wintering in Ormond Beach Florida. Theresa was an
avid reader of the local newspapers keeping current on all political
events. She was a member of Christ Our Light (St. Francis DeSales)
Senior’s Club and enjoyed their many outings, events and activities.
She was a communicant of St. Pius X Church, Loudonville.
Theresa was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Anthony J.
Deluca, Sr., whom she married on June 6, 1943.
Survivors include her loving son, Dr. Anthony J. DeLuca, Jr. of
Selkirk; sister, Carmella (John) Keon of Latham; and numerous nieces
and nephews. Theresa was predeceased by her sisters, Josephine
DeLuca, Mary Pagano Pape and Helen Ann Adamo
Funeral services will be held 10 AM Thursday June 6th at St. Pius, X
Church, Loudonville where a Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery,
Coeymans. Friends may call at the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 No.
Allen St., Albany on Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM. Funeral arrangements
are under the direction of the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena.
