Geraldine Irwin Dottino, 89, passed away peacefully at her home
surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Born in
Coeymans on July 17, 1932, to Gerald and Eva Irwin, she graduated
from Coxsackie High School.
Predeceased by her husband, Nicholas, after 63 years of
marriage, Faye was the loving mother of two sons, John (Sandra)
Dottino of Alcove and Ken (Cherie) Dottino of Coeymans; devoted
grandmother of Christopher, Alaina, Nicholas, and Connor; cherished
sister to Gerald (Patricia); doting aunt to many nieces and nephews;
and dear cousin to many. Faye was predeceased by her parents, Gerald
and Eva Irwin, and brother, Kenneth.
Above all, Faye’s faith, strong and ever-present, was
the most important guiding force in her life; that faith permeated
everything she did.
A dedicated wife and mother, Faye instilled in her sons
strong values that have served them well. Faye loved her family and
took great pride in having for them a warm and immaculate home, and
she delighted in hosting many holiday celebrations in that home.
Her friends and neighbors were also dear to her. Faye
had a generous spirit and often reached out to assist those in need,
always putting others before herself. For many years she was a
member of the Dusty Travelers camping group. She enjoyed the peace
and beauty of the outdoors on many camping excursions with her
family and friends.
