BETHLEHEM – Larry J. Hyslop, 73, passed away on Sunday, April 26,
2015 after a three year battle with cancer. He was born on December
26, 1941 in Windsor, Ontario Canada and became a US Citizen in
1967. Larry was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam
Era, stationed in Korea.
Larry was the loving husband of Terry (Fryar) for 49 years; father
of Jason (Theresa) of Ravena and Justin (Michele) of Waterford;
proud grandfather to Skylar and Hayden and Blake, Seth, Lucas and
Anya. Also survived by his mother, Lena; brothers, Wayne (Katie)
of CA, Ronald (Sheila) of Canada; sister, Judi Storey of MI; and
sister-in-law, Chris Bohn of MI. Larry was predeceased by his
father James Hyslop, stepfather George Bohn and brother Gerald Bohn.
Larry worked at General Electric Plastics in Selkirk for 27 years,
retiring in 2000. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and soaking up the
sun. He also enjoyed learning about history. We always knew which
direction he was taking and where his mustache comb was.
memorial service for Larry will be held 7:30 Thursday, April 30th at
the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Friends may call at the funeral
home on Thursday prior to the service starting at 4:30.
