Drinda LaLumia – January 14, 2021

       ESPERANCE – Drinda LaLumia, 76, passed away January 14, 2021.  She was born in the Bronx, NY and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Susan LaLumia.  She lived in California for several years before moving back to New York in 2005.

     Drinda was a talented actress and for several years performed on the “Tim Conway Comedy Hour” which premiered in 1970.  She also acted in several movies; in 1970 The Purple Rose of Cairo, in 1998 Gia, 1993 The Dark Hall, 2000 What Planet are You From, 2001 Road To Redemption and 2002 White Oleander.  She also performed on the TV show NYPD Blue.  Drinda also was a NYS Certified Escort for oversized loads for several years.

     Survivors include her sister, Rosemarie (Joseph) Beine; nephews, Brian Beine and Joseph Gravino; devoted companion and friend, Don Hemstreet.  Drinda was predeceased by her sister Phyllis Gravino.
