Anne M. DeFlumer McHugh, 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday,
October 28, 2017 with her loving family by her side. Anne was born
and lived all her life in Coeymans and was the daughter of the late
Albert and Mary DeFlumer. First and foremost Anne was a loving wife
and mother. After raising her three boys, she entered the workforce
and worked at the New York State Bill Drafting Commission, retiring
in 2000. Anne then worked with her son at the McHugh Law Firm in
Ravena, until retiring in 2010. Anne had served on the Town of
Coeymans Planning Board and was also a charter member and
instrumental in forming the Coeymans Neighborhood Improvement
Association. Anne enjoyed cooking and playing cards. She will be
remembered for her quick wit, her generosity and her gourmet
culinary skills which she shared with everyone.
Survivors include her husband, George W. McHugh; sons, George D.
(Rosemary), Joseph D. (Amy) and Albert D. (Candace); sister, Rose
Carman; grandchildren, George J., Daniel J., Michael J., Megan A.,
Nicholas J., Andrew J., Matthew J., Joseph A. and Mary J; several
aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Her Mass of
Christian Burial will be held 10AM on Thursday, November 2nd
at The Church of St. Patrick, Ravena. Entombment will follow in St.
Patrick’s Mausoleum. There will be no calling hours. The family
would like you to consider in lieu of flowers memorial contributions
