RAVENA – James Joseph Nolan, the son of the late Robert and Raphael
Nolan, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the age of
69, in his home with his loving family by his side. After
graduating from R-C-S in 1967, Jim enlisted in the Army and became a
veteran while serving in Vietnam. His thirst for knowledge
regarding Civil War history resulted in numerous fun family
vacations to historical Civil War sites.
Survivors include his children, Erin (Mike) Robbins, Sara (Gary
Young) Nolan, Ethan (Heather) Nolan, Richard Joralemon and Scott
(Amy) Joralemon; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
James was predeceased by his wife, Karen Nolan and brothers, Robert
and Michael Nolan.
A memorial Mass will be held 10am on Saturday, June 10th at The
Church of St. Patrick, Ravena. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s
Cemetery, Coeymans. Contributions in memory of James may be made to
