RAVENA - Claudette L. Taylor, age 69, entered into eternal life
surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 30, following a
brief illness. Born in Albany on February 19, 1946, she was the
daughter of Edna F. Kniffen of Ravena, NY, and Lake Wales, FL, and
the late Paul R. Falkner, Sr. Claudette is remembered for being
active in the Girl Scouts as a scout and troop leader, past
treasurer of the Hannacrois Chapter and present Chaplin of the On-ti-ora
Chapter NSDAR, VFW, RC PTO, RCS STAR, RCS Sports Association, Athens
Lighthouse Committee and NESCOT. She was an avid fan of NASCAR.
Claudette worked for many years for the NYS Dept. of Health, NYS
Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, and NYS Office of
General Services. She retired as a telecommunications specialist.
She is survived by her daughter Bonnie (Doug) Keyer of Alcove,
son Scott Goyer of Mooresville, NC, brother Paul R. (Jeanette)
Falkner, Jr. of Hannacroix, and sister Judith (James) Jeune of
Selkirk. She will be missed dearly by her grandchildren Dylan,
Brittany, and Brianna Keyer, as well as two nephews and several
other close family members. She was pre-deceased by her husband
Richard S. Taylor.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 2, from 4pm-7pm at
Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. A funeral service will be held at
10am on Friday, April 3, at the Babcock Funeral Home with internment
at the Mountain View Cemetery in New Concord, NY.
