-- Marcelle F. Taylor, formerly of Ravena, NY passed away peacefully
at the Teresian House at the age of ninety-nine on Saturday, August
11, 2018. Marcelle is predeceased by her husband, George Taylor of
Marcelle worked at National Savings Bank in Albany, NY during her
early employment years where she met her husband, George. She lived
a full, rich life based on principles of spirituality, creativity,
human connections, laughter and joy. Marcelle was a member of the
Ladies Home Bureau where she learned and enjoyed many creative arts
and often taught those skills to others.
was an active member of the Saint Patrick’s Church community for
many years were she participated as a congregant and volunteer in
various church activities. To those who knew her, she was the
family matriarch charming, clear minded, caring and independent.
She was a role model for many who had the good fortune to cross her
path over the years and she thrived on human connections, often
helping those in need.
Marcelle was born to French Canadian parents who settled in the
Capital Region area where she lived her life. She is predeceased by
her daughter, Christine Sevinsky (James). Marcelle’s legacy will
continue by way of her extended family. She is survived by her
daughters: SusanTaylor Hulbert, Anne Taylor, Ellen DePan (Harry),
and her niece Fredericka Gucz. Marcelle is survived by
grandchildren: Sarah Gilchrist, Christopher Sevinsky (Stacie),
Daniel Hulbert, Sean Hulbert, Michael Hulbert and Cara DePan. She
is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren: Sophie and Taylor
Gilchrist, Christopher Logan, Owen and Thacher Sevinsky and Oliver
Dias Vila Nova.
A funeral celebration of Marcelle’s life will be held at St.
Patricks Church, Ravena NY on Saturday, August 18th at 10:00 am.
Burial to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
