Rose C. Wolfe, in the early hours of Thursday morning, May 30, 2013,
just as the sun was cresting the horizon Mom slipped away very
peacefully in her sleep. She was born March 4, 1922 in Coeymans
daughter of the late Dominick and Rose Bruno. She was predeceased
by her husband Arthur after 39 years of marriage. Rose was a
resident of Ravena for most of her life, moving to Craneville Place,
Dalton, MA in 2010 due to her illness.
Rose worked hard all her life, leaving school at age 14 and entering
the work force to help her Mother support her family after her
father died at age 27. Mom worked at many occupations during her
life, more recent at the Shephards Farm Resort in Greenville
alongside her husband and at St. Patrick’s Parish House where she
retired at age 77. Mom loved to cook, bake and was a very talented
knitter. She was very proud of her heritage. If you met her for
the first time she would quickly inform you that she was Italian.
Family was everything to her, especially her mother who she
cherished and watched over her entire life. She loved just being
around her grandchildren and held a very special place in her heart
for her many nieces and nephews. She was a life communicant of St.
Patrick’s Parish and was active in fundraising and social events.
She leaves behind a loving son Anthony and daughter- in -law Donna
Wolfe; three grandsons, Pieter (Amanda), Ryan (Brenda Peck) and
Justin (Sandra); six great-grandchildren, Cody, Joshua, Carter,
Maggie, Cooper, and Logan; step-great-granddaughter, Hailey
Hoffman; two sisters, Anna (deceased Carmen) Libertucci and Edith
“Lou” (Anthony) Germano; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces
and nephews and a great-great-niece. Rose was predeceased by her
brother Anthony (Nancy) Bruno and Bert P. Bruno.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM Monday June
3rd, at St. Patrick’s Church, Ravena. A calling hour will precede
the Mass starting at 9:30am. In lieu of flowers the family requests
a donation to St. Patrick’s Food Pantry, 21 Main Street, Ravena NY
